RUSSIA

The ongoing situation with Covid 19 may cause shipments to Russia to be delayed. This is due to flight disruptions and added customs / quarantine checks.

IMPORTANT

Any consignment to Russia will be booked as a door-to-airport / port shipment (door-to-door is not available) but you must still provide your full address in Russia.

You are required to provide a copy of your passport details and your visa before shipping. These must be uploaded to your Customer Portal.

CUSTOMS INFORMATION

Shipments entering Russia may be selected for further inspection by the customs authority.

You must be in the country when your shipment arrives and you will need to pre-declare that you have a shipment to follow when you arrive into the country.

A valid residential address needs to be provided against any shipment and proof of residence may be required for customs clearance.

All shipments of personal effects (items you’ve owned for more than 6 months) must be accompanied by a detailed inventory list. This must be a detailed, itemised list. Russian customs authorities will not accept general terms on inventory such as ‘household effects’ or ‘kitchen items’. All items need to be itemised in a comprehensive list so it is clear exactly what is being shipped.

PROHIBITED ITEMS - RUSSIA

At Baggage Hub, we supply a general list of Prohibited and Restricted items as standard, but there are specific rules and restrictions when sending items to Russia, which it’s important to be aware of.

Food and perfumes are prohibited.We also advise against importing any antiques or items made prior to 1950 including artwork, books, manuscripts, musical instruments, and household goods. All such items would require appraisal from the Ministry of Culture.
